About La Voz del Desierto

The first thing that draws our attention about this rock band, but hard rock, metal rock, is that three out of its seven members wear clerical collar, as they are Catholic priests. Logically, as good rockers, they also have their good ballads and themes with other sounds, more pop or more folk.

La Voz del Desierto is the group born in the Diocese of Álcala de Henares, Madrid (Spain). It is composed by Dani (singer), Julio (bass), Rapo (electric guitar), Pedro (keyboard), José (drums), Álex (electric guitar) and Curry (singer). Through their songs they want to evangelize, in other words, to announce Jesus Christ to everyone, specially to the youngest.

At the end of 2005, their first album was released, called Hágase en mí tu voluntad (Thy Will Be Done On Me). In December 2007 their second album appeared under the name of Hacia una Luz (To A Light). In 2010 they edited their third work under the name of La llamada (The Calling). Their live performances have given them a great credibility and have provided them with million followers in Spain, Portugal and the United States, countries where they have performed so far.

During the World Youth Day in Madrid 2011 they gave several concerts for young people of the five continents. In November 2012 they participated in Valencia in the opening concert of the National Youth Ministry Congress organised by the Episcopal Conference of Spain.

At the end of 2013, their fourth album was released under the name of Él me vuelve a levantar (He Rises Me Again). And in November 2015 they gave a concert in Dallas, Texas (United States) organised by the Ministerio Católico Mensaje Texas.

11 March 2016 their fifth album was released under the name of Mi Fortaleza (My Strength), a remastered compendium under the generic name of 15 temas imprescindibles de La Voz del Desierto (15 Essential Themes Of La Voz del Desierto), edited by Viva la Fe and distributed by Universal Music.

Now in March 2017, it is currently available in all main digital platforms their new unreleased album Tu rostro buscaré (Your Face I Will Seek), produced by Santi Fernández, the drummer of Los Secretos, that represents an extraordinary achievement in their sound and an enormous leap in quality. Their first single and videoclip is Sin tu calor. It is also available on physical medium. A scoop of Viva la Fe, distributed by Safira Music.

At present, they are constantly on tour all over Spain, with their electric show, totally rocker, as well as with their acoustic show. Among their most popular songs we can find “Solo quiero decir que te quiero”, “La llamada”, “Mi fortaleza”, “Resucitó”, “Él me vuelve a levantar”, “En mi palma de escribí”, “Getsemaní”,… and now “Sin tu calor”.
